Vietsol at MTA Vietnam 2026: Bringing Edge AI into Real Manufacturing Challenges

At MTA Vietnam 2026, one of Vietnam’s leading international exhibitions for precision engineering and manufacturing, Vietsol presented a range of Edge AI applications to hundreds of domestic and international brands.

Vietsol Edge AI, a business unit of Vietsol Joint Stock Company, joined the exhibition for the first time as a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Supporting Industries Association (HASI). The event gave Vietsol an opportunity to bring its Edge AI applications closer to manufacturers and smart factory operators, while showing how Vietnamese engineers are developing solutions for real industrial needs.

Why does MTA Vietnam 2026 matter to supporting industry companies?

MTA Vietnam 2026 marked the 22nd edition of the exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City. The event brought together more than 450 companies and brands from 18 countries and territories, making it one of the major exhibitions for precision engineering and manufacturing in Vietnam.

Manufacturers are under growing pressure to improve production efficiency while meeting stricter technical and quality requirements. The demos were simplified into compact systems for exhibition use, but they shared the same goal: bringing Edge AI closer to production lines and helping manufacturers move toward smarter, more connected operations.

Product Quality Inspection

In industries such as jewelry, gemstones, and precision manufacturing, product inspection remains a difficult part of the production process. Small surface defects, printing errors, dimensional issues, or inconsistencies can be difficult to detect reliably through manual inspection alone.

At MTA Vietnam 2026, Vietsol introduced its Defect Detection System, a computer vision solution designed to identify defects across different materials and product types.

The system can detect issues such as:

  • Defects or missing details on metal components
  • Printing or edge-quality issues on plastic surfaces
  • Dimensional differences in materials or footwear components

The AI model can be trained to recognize different material characteristics and defect patterns.

For manufacturers with a wide product portfolio, this means quality inspection can be developed on one common platform instead of building a completely separate inspection system for every product type.

This approach is particularly useful for supporting industry companies that are gradually expanding their production scope and need a more scalable way to manage quality.

Standardizing Workplace Safety Monitoring

Workplace safety remains a core requirement in manufacturing. It is also an area that global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers often review when assessing potential suppliers in Vietnam.

To address this need, Vietsol Edge AI presented an AI Camera solution trained specifically for workplace safety monitoring.

The demo at MTA Vietnam 2026 focused on two common situations:

  • Detecting workers who are not wearing helmets or protective headgear
  • Detecting mobile phone use in production areas

These behaviors may seem simple, but they can create real safety risks in factory environments.

For larger facilities, continuous manual supervision across every production area and every shift can be difficult to maintain. AI Camera systems can support this process by monitoring selected behaviors in real time and giving supervisors more consistent visibility.

The system can generate alerts and reports by area, helping management teams identify unsafe conditions more quickly and respond before they lead to larger incidents.

Vietsol’s AI Camera solution is also designed to work with existing camera infrastructure where possible. The violation-detection models can be integrated with current camera systems and connected to an Edge AI device for local processing.

This allows Vietsol Edge AI to provide an end-to-end solution without requiring manufacturers to replace all of their existing equipment.

End-of-Line Quality Testing

For global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, product quality is one of the key criteria when selecting companies for their supply chains.

At MTA Vietnam 2026, Vietsol introduced Siemens Simcenter Anovis, a quality testing solution designed for manufacturing environments, particularly End-of-Line (EOL) testing.

Simcenter Anovis collects and analyzes vibration and acoustic signals to assess the mechanical condition of a product during testing.

This allows manufacturers to identify defects that may be difficult to detect through visual inspection or camera-based systems. Internal mechanical issues, structural irregularities, or other hidden defects can create differences in vibration, stability, or sound during operation.

By analyzing these signals, manufacturers gain another layer of quality evidence.
