Vietsol and Datakrew Sign MoU to Advance EV Fleet and Battery Intelligence for Automotive OEMs

The collaboration combines Datakrew’s mobility intelligence technology with Vietsol’s automotive engineering expertise, system integration capability, and local execution strength to support an initial OEM opportunity in Vietnam, while also laying the groundwork for broader cooperation in EV and software-defined vehicle (SDV) development.

Hanoi, Vietnam, July 2026 — Vietsol Joint Stock Company and Datakrew Pte. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on EV fleet intelligence and battery analytics solutions for a jointly identified automotive OEM opportunity in Vietnam.

The agreement was formalized on July 24, 2026, following discussions initiated during an in-person B2B business matching session earlier in the month. The collaboration reflects a shared interest in bringing advanced vehicle data intelligence closer to automotive manufacturers by combining specialized technology with local engineering execution and automotive domain know-how.

The cooperation is led by Dr. Sumanta Bose, Founder and CEO of Datakrew, and Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Founder and CEO of Vietsol. Mr. Son Le, Chief Commercial Officer of Vietsol, will support commercial coordination and customer engagement in Vietnam while Mr. Abhishek Yeole will support the commercial engagement for Datakrew enabling the right technical collaboration and business support.

Bringing Battery and Fleet Intelligence Closer to OEM Engineering and Operations

As electric vehicle programs scale, automotive manufacturers are increasingly required to manage not only vehicle performance but also battery lifecycle behavior, charging patterns, field reliability, and operational risk across large fleets. These factors directly influence engineering decisions, warranty strategy, aftersales planning, and long-term asset value.

The MoU brings together Datakrew’s capabilities in EV data intelligence, battery analytics, IoT-enabled vehicle data acquisition, and AI-driven operational insights with Vietsol’s automotive engineering expertise, local OEM engagement experience, and system integration capability in Vietnam.

Through this combination, both companies aim to support the automotive OEM in evaluating how real-world vehicle and battery data can be translated into actionable engineering and operational decisions. The proposed solution may include software platforms, data pipelines, embedded or edge components, analytics modules, and supporting engineering services, depending on technical feasibility and agreed project.

Commenting on the collaboration and the growing importance of data intelligence as Vietnam’s EV market scales, Dr. Sumanta Bose, Founder and CEO of Datakrew Pte. Ltd., said:

“Vietnam’s EV ecosystem is entering an important phase of operational scale. Through this collaboration, Vietsol’s local automotive expertise and Datakrew’s battery and fleet intelligence can help fleets and OEMs gain clearer visibility into real-world vehicle performance, battery health and lifecycle decisions.”

Scope of Collaboration

Under the MoU, Vietsol and Datakrew will jointly develop and present an EV Fleet and Battery Intelligence proposition for the identified OEM opportunity.

Datakrew will contribute its mobility intelligence technology, including battery analytics, vehicle data processing, AI/ML capabilities, platform functions, and technical support for demonstration or Proof of Concept (PoC) activities.

Vietsol will act as the local engineering and integration partner, supporting OEM engagement, requirements clarification, and coordination across technical, commercial, and procurement stakeholders. Vietsol will also provide local market context and support on-site activities such as system integration, installation coordination, and technical alignment with customer environments.

In addition, Vietsol brings automotive domain know-how that can support end-to-end solution realization, including system engineering and MBSE practices, ASPICE-aligned software development processes, AUTOSAR-based architecture integration, cybersecurity and functional safety considerations, as well as software-defined vehicle (SDV) development approaches. These capabilities enable the collaboration to move beyond data analytics into a more complete vehicle system integration context when required.

Both parties will jointly define the technical architecture, data requirements, integration approach, and PoC scope prior to any potential full-scale deployment. Detailed commercial terms, responsibilities, and delivery commitments will be defined separately for each project phase.

From Vietsol’s engineering perspective, the collaboration is also intended to connect real-world vehicle and battery data more closely with product engineering, integration and lifecycle decision-making. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Founder and CEO of Vietsol JSC, said:**

“At Vietsol, we see vehicle and battery data as more than an operational output. When connected back to engineering, system integration, and real-world vehicle behavior, it can become a valuable input for improving product reliability and supporting better lifecycle decisions. Our collaboration with Datakrew brings together this engineering perspective with deeper battery and vehicle data intelligence, while also aligning with Vietsol’s broader direction in connected mobility and data-driven automotive solutions.”

From Business Matching to a Focused Automotive Engineering Collaboration

The collaboration originated from an initial business matching engagement in early July 2026, where both companies identified a complementary fit between Datakrew’s mobility intelligence platform and Vietsol’s automotive engineering and OEM-facing delivery capabilities in Vietnam.

For Datakrew, the cooperation provides a structured pathway to engage more closely with a Vietnam-based automotive OEM through a local engineering partner that understands both technical integration requirements and regional operating conditions.

For Vietsol, the MoU strengthens its ability to introduce advanced EV fleet and battery intelligence capabilities as part of a broader automotive engineering and system integration offering. It also enhances Vietsol’s role in connecting global mobility technologies with practical OEM requirements, including engineering validation, system integration, and lifecycle deployment considerations.

The immediate scope of the MoU is limited to the jointly identified OEM opportunity in Vietnam. Any future collaboration involving additional OEMs, fleet operators, or regional expansion will be subject to separate written agreements.

Supporting the Next Stage of EV and Software-Defined Vehicle Development

The signing marks the beginning of a focused collaboration between Vietsol and Datakrew around vehicle data intelligence, battery analytics, and connected EV system capabilities.

By combining advanced mobility technology with automotive engineering execution and system integration expertise, the two companies aim to help OEMs improve visibility into real-world vehicle and battery performance, identify technical risks earlier in the lifecycle, and strengthen decision-making across engineering and operations.

This collaboration also reflects a broader industry shift toward software-defined and data-driven vehicle development, where vehicle intelligence is increasingly integrated into engineering processes rather than treated as a standalone analytics layer.
