Position: CAE Simulation Engineer

Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented CAE Simulation Engineer specializing in the cDVP (component Design Verification Plan) domain. In this role, you will be responsible for building advanced simulation models and verifying the structural integrity, durability, and safety of various vehicle components. You will play a key role in driving design improvements from initial concept to final validation.
Job Descriptions:
- End-to-End Simulation: Execute complete CAE workflows, from gathering CAD/Material data and model preparation to post-processing and final reporting.
- Component Verification: Perform simulations across diverse loadcases, including Rigidity & Strength, Mounting, Vibration/Modal analysis, and Dynamic/Impact tests for both interior and exterior components.
- Problem Solving & Debugging: Autonomously diagnose and resolve solver convergence issues to ensure models run efficiently and accurately.
- Root Cause & Countermeasures: Analyze structural failures, identify root causes, and proactively propose optimized design solutions (e.g., thickness modifications, adding ribs) to improve component performance.
- Test Correlation: Compare and correlate CAE simulation results with physical test data to continuously improve model accuracy and reliability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Design and Testing teams to ensure smooth integration of CAE inputs and align on engineering targets.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related Engineering field.
- Prior experience or strong foundational knowledge of automotive R&D processes and verification criteria.
Technical Competencies:
- CAE Fundamentals: Solid understanding of finite element analysis (FEA), solid mechanics, and material properties.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in pre/post-processing tools (e.g., ANSA, META, HyperMesh, …) and standard FEA solvers (e.g., Abaqus, OptiStruct, Nastran, LS-DYNA).
- Automation (Bonus): Familiarity with scripting (TCL, Python) to automate simulation workflows and reporting is a strong plus.

- Proactive Mindset: Highly independent with a strong problem-solving attitude; capable of finding solutions rather than waiting for instructions.
- Detail-Oriented: Delivers high-quality meshes and accurate reports without compromising on project timelines.
- Communication: Excellent presentation and technical reporting skills to effectively articulate design flaws and solutions to cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Capable of managing complex tasks and performing well under the pressure of a fast-paced development environment.
