EMDQ Testing Engineer

­­Position: Energy Management Drive Quality (EMDQ) Testing Engineer

Job Descriptions:

• Execute vehicle test cases such as coast down test, range & energy consumption test
• Set up and operate test instrumentation, including data acquisition systems, sensors, and logging tools
• Process and analyze test data to evaluate energy consumption, efficiency, and system performance
• Prepare clear and structured test reports, including key findings, insights, and recommendations
• Support issue tracking, debugging, and validation of corrective actions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test methods, tools, and data analysis processes
• Develop and maintain range & energy consumption test procedures for BEV
• Analyze competitive data sets and assess future trends in passenger vehicle energy efficiency-related technologies

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience and detailed understanding of vehicle propulsion systems
• Proven understanding of electric vehicle energy flows, including drive energy, energy losses (friction, aerodynamic, etc.), thermal loads, and energy conversion efficiency
• Strong knowledge of global emissions and efficiency standards (e.g., NEDC, WLTP, EPA)
• Working level knowledge of vehicle testing tools such as ETAS INCA (or equiv.) and CAN bus monitoring applications such as Vector CANalyzer (or equiv.)
• Working level knowledge of MATLAB for data analysis and graphing
• Experience with Vehicle or Engine Emissions testing equipment, including chassis dynamometers, analyzers, instrumentation, sampling systems, data acquisition (preferred)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Valid driving license
