ADAS HIL Test Engineer

Position: ADAS HIL Test Engineer

Job Descriptions: 

• Analyze and understand requirements, test specifications, and ODX files to define test scenarios and develop test cases. 
• Design, implement, and execute test cases for ADAS Basic Testing, with a focus on diagnostic testing. 
• Develop and execute test automation for ADAS ECUs, such as: 
• SRR (Short Range Radar) 
• MRR (Medium Range Radar) 
• FCAM (Front Camera) 
• Use Vector CANoe, vTESTstudio, CAPL to develop and execute automated test cases. 
• Perform automotive diagnostic testing, analyze diagnostic communication and test results. 
• Analyze CAN/diagnostic traces, logs, and test results to identify issues and support debugging. 
• Report, track, and follow up on defects in cooperation with Development, System, and Validation teams. 
• Maintain and continuously improve test cases and test automation according to ECU/software releases. 
• Support test activities throughout the development and validation lifecycle.  

Basic Requirements: 

Technical Skills 

• Experience or good understanding of Automotive ECU Testing, preferably in ADAS and Diagnostic Testing. 
• Ability to read and analyze: System/Software Requirements; Test Specifications; ODX (Open Diagnostic Data Exchange) 
• Hands-on experience with: Vector CANoe; Vector vTESTstudio; CAPL 
• Good understanding of CAN and CAN FD communication. 
• Good understanding of CAN Network Management (CAN NM / CANNM). 
• Good knowledge of Automotive Diagnostics, including: UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services); Diagnostic Sessions; DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code); Routine Control 
• Read/Write Data; ECU Reset 
• Understanding of DoIP (Diagnostics over IP). 
• Ability to analyze CAN/Diagnostic traces and troubleshoot communication and diagnostic issues. 
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to convert requirements into clear and effective test cases. 

Nice to Have 

• Experience testing ADAS ECUs, such as SRR, MRR, and FCAM. 
• Experience developing automated test cases using CAPL and/or vTESTstudio. 
• Experience with UDS over CAN and UDS over DoIP. 
• Experience working with ODX and diagnostic databases. 
• Knowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE). 
• Experience working in an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 environment.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
• Careful, proactive, and quality-oriented mindset. 
• Good ability to read and understand technical documentation in English. 
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborate with Development, System/Requirement, and Validation teams.
