Position: Functional Safety (FuSa) Engineer

Functional Safety Engineer leads the development, implementation, and verification of functional safety concepts across hardware and software systems. This role ensures that products meet international safety standards, achieve required ASIL/SIL levels, and maintain safety throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer acts as a technical authority, guiding cross‑functional teams and influencing architectural decisions to ensure robust safety compliance.
Job Descriptions:
- Lead and support safety activities in accordance with ISO 26262, from concept to production
- Perform Safety Analysis including FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA
- Define and safety requirements, safety mechanisms, and safety architecture
- Collaborate with system, hardware and software teams to ensure end-to-end safety compliance
- Develop and maintain Safety Case documentation and support safety audits and assessments
- Support verification and validation of safety mechanisms and diagnostic coverage
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders including OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and certification bodies
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in system development for safety-critical systems
- Strong knowledge of ISO 26262
- Experience with automotive ECUs, sensors, or power electronics
- Familiarity with ASIL levels, diagnostic coverage, and safety metrics
- English proficiency for working
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Background in automotive, embedded systems, software design is a strong plus
- Knowledge of ASPICE, IEC 61508, or other safety standards
- Background in embedded systems, software design is a strong plus
- Certifications in Functional Safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer) is a strong plus
- Experience in previous Fusa-related project is a strong plus
